Storage and reconstitution
Vials are sealed under vacuum. What happens after delivery is yours.
On arrival
Move lyophilized material to freezer storage at −4 °F, protected from light, on the day it arrives. Material that has been at ambient temperature in transit for the shipping interval is within specification; material left at ambient temperature after delivery is not.
Inspect the cake before you open the vial
Every label leaves about 3/8 in of bare glass on the side opposite the seam. That window is a specification, not a leftover: it exists so the cake can be checked for collapse, melt-back, shrinkage, or discoloration without removing anything. A full wraparound label makes that check impossible, which is why we do not print one.
A cake that has collapsed, melted back, or changed color should not be used. Send the order number and the product, and we will replace it.
Reconstitution
Allow the vial to reach room temperature before breaking the vacuum seal, so atmospheric moisture does not condense onto cold material. Dry is the state the vial ships in; it is not a property the material keeps once the seal is broken in a humid room.
Once reconstituted, stability holds for about four weeks at 39 °F in a refrigerator. Aliquot rather than freeze-thawing the same vial repeatedly.
