Peptide molecular weight and CAS number chart
Molecular weight, molecular formula and CAS number for 37 research peptides, each checked against PubChem. Use it with the peptide calculator to turn a mass into a molar concentration.
The chart
Molecular weights are average molecular weights in g/mol. Each name links to the compound’s page, and each CAS number to the record it was checked against.

Using molecular weight at the bench
A balance measures mass, and an assay is usually specified in moles. Molecular weight is the bridge: moles = mass ÷ molecular weight. A 10 mg vial of a peptide with a molecular weight of 1,000 g/mol holds 10 µmol, and dissolved in 1 mL it is a 10 mM solution.
The peptide reconstitution calculator does this for any peptide on the chart: concentration in mg/mL, the same in µM, and the volumes for diluting to a working concentration.
What the chart leaves out
Blends and compounds without a single defined structure are not listed: a mixture has no one molecular weight. A figure that could not be checked against a second reference was left out, since a wrong number on a reference chart is worse than a gap. Storage guidance for lyophilized material is on the storage and handling page.
Peptide reference chart: common questions
What is the molecular weight of BPC-157?
1419.5 g/mol. Its molecular formula is C62H98N16O22 and its CAS number is 137525-51-0.
What is the molecular weight of GHK-Cu?
402.92 g/mol, with the molecular formula C14H23CuN6O4+ and CAS number 89030-95-5.
What is a CAS number?
A CAS Registry Number is a unique identifier that the Chemical Abstracts Service assigns to a chemical substance. It identifies a compound unambiguously where trade names and abbreviations vary.
Why does a peptide's molecular weight matter in the lab?
It converts between mass and moles. Dividing a concentration in mg/mL by the molecular weight in g/mol gives the molar concentration, which is how most assay concentrations are stated.
Why are blends not in the chart?
A blend is a mixture of two or more peptides, so it has no single molecular weight, formula or CAS number. Each component is listed on its own row.
Where do the figures come from?
From PubChem, the US National Library of Medicine's chemical database. Each compound was matched by name and its molecular weight checked against an independent reference before it was listed. Two compounds PubChem holds without a computed record, retatrutide and IGF-1 LR3, are given from their published molecular formula, with the weight computed from it.
