Who may buy

Buyers must be at least 21 and of the age of majority where they are located, and must be acquiring material for in-vitro laboratory research use. The statement made at checkout is recorded against the order; see research use.

Storage

Nothing on this site is a shelf-life claim, or a claim about material stored outside the conditions on the storage and handling page.

Returns

All sales are final. Material that has left our custody cannot be taken back into stock: a reagent’s chain of custody is the thing that makes it usable evidence, and once it has been elsewhere we cannot attest to how it was held. Two things are not returns and are not affected: a presale order can be cancelled for a full refund at any time before it ships, and a vial that arrives damaged is replaced. Both are set out below.

Replacement

Report a broken vial or a quantity discrepancy with the order number within 10 business days of delivery; see shipping.

The condition of the freeze-dried cake is not a reason for a refund or a replacement. A cake that has cracked, broken into pieces or come loose in transit is not damage: the cake is fragile, and the amount of material in the vial is unchanged. The refund and replacement policy sets this out in full.

Presale orders

A presale order is for stock that ships by the date shown on the product page and at checkout, which the buyer confirms before placing the order. If we cannot ship by that date, we tell the buyer before it passes and they may cancel for a full refund. A presale order may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before it ships: email [email protected] with the order number.

Resale and transfer

Material may not be resold, transferred, or supplied to any party for administration to a person or an animal. This is affirmed on every order rather than once at signup.

Data we keep

Attestation records — timestamp, account identifier, IP address, user agent and the version identifier of the text displayed — are retained indefinitely and cannot be edited or deleted, by us or by anyone else with a database connection. They exist to answer one question, from one kind of reader, about what a named buyer affirmed and when.

The attestation cookie is strictly necessary and carries a record identifier and a version identifier and nothing else. Beside it, this portal can use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It is asked for, not assumed: nothing from Google is requested until the banner is accepted, declining loads nothing at all, and a browser sending Global Privacy Control is taken as a decline without being asked. Accepted, it reports page addresses, a rough location and the kind of device, and never a name, an email address or anything typed into a form. The choice can be changed at any time from cookie settings in the footer. There are no advertising tags and no other third-party trackers.
